See something you like and want to share? Awesome!
I always take it as a compliment when readers like my work enough they want to share it with family and friends. Unfortunately, search engines don’t like duplicate content–and I like being credited for my work. So if you want to share something, here’s a list of the do’s and don’ts.
Without My Permission You May:
Link to my site or any specific post on my site
Post an excerpt of 200 words or less on your own website or blog as long as you credit Leigh Powers as the author and provide a link back to the original post.
Print and distribute 50 copies or less of a single post as long as you credit Leigh Powers as the author and include www.leighpowers.com on the handout.
Copy a single post for publication in your church newsletter as long as you include the following copyright notice.
©2013, Leigh Powers. All rights reserved. Originally published at www.leighpowers.com
Please Request My Permission to:
Use any of my content in or for commercial purposes, including selling or licensing printed or digital versions of my content.
Alter, transform, or build upon this work.
Please Do Not:
Repost any of my posts in its entirety. Search engines penalize duplicate content, and I don’t want my site being penalized because someone reposted my work.
I also do not allow the translation and publication of my work in other languages. I simply have no way to verify the quality or accuracy of translations.
All guest posts remain the property of the original author. The above permissions do not apply to guest posts. Please contact the original author for permission to reprint or repost.
If you have questions about a use of my content that is not covered here, please contact me.
