He is risen.
What if it weren’t our greeting just on Resurrection Sunday, but for every day?
Life is hard, and I feel defeated–but he is risen.
Grief and death are constant companions in this world–but he is risen.
I tremble beneath the weight of an unknown future–but he is risen.
The burdens of life can seem overwhelming–but he is risen.
Our world seems dark, hopeless, and unsafe–but he is risen.
He is risen, and it changes everything.
This week, I want to invite you to join with me in the wonder of the resurrection. Below I’m sharing one of my favorite Easter songs and some important verses about the resurrection. Will you join me in worship?
“Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where. O death, is your victory? Where, O death is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:54-55).
“But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep” (1 Corinthians 15:20).
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25).
“He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” (Romans 4:25).
“In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3).
“Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died–more than that, who was raised to life–is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us” (Romans 8:34).
What verses cause you to wonder in the glory of the Resurrection?

what would we do without Him?
I’ve been thinking about what it would look like if Jesus hadn’t said…It is finished! I’m so thankful for a God who loves us in ways we can’t begin to fathom. I love the Matt Maher song too and the old classic “He Lives”
“He Lives” is another of my favorites.
amen and hallelujah. He has Risen indeed. This post is encouraging and powerful Thank you
I’m just in awe of how much He loved us, that He didn’t let “till death do us part” stand in His way. He bridged the unimaginable gap for us to have access for him on this side of death and spend eternity with Him on the other side. Oh how He loves us!
Amen!!
I love 1 Chor. 15:54-55. There is a song that goes with it by Matt Maher – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8QVwC6RWUc
If you don’t know it already you should check it out!!
Check out the video in the post–that’s the song I embedded!
I love the chorus of that song. My favorite passage this year for Easter is Ephesians 1:18-23. Jesus triumphed over all principalities and powers, and He is at God’s right hand. Alive and powerful!
Amen!
Rejoicing with you over the great mercy of God, through which we’ve been born again to a living hope! Thank you for sharing these verses – what an encouragement!
